ZITHROMAX PRECAUTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you have any allergic reaction. ZITHROMAX INTERACTIONS:

Your healthcare professional (e.g., doctor or pharmacist) may already be aware of any possible zithromax interactions and may be monitoring you for it. Do not stop or change the dosage of any medicine without checking with them first. Your doctor should know about all the medications you are taking, especially of: aluminum- and magnesium-containing antacids, live bacterial vaccines, lovastatin, digoxin, nelfinavir, warfarin. This medication may decrease the effectiveness of combination-type birth control pills. This can result in pregnancy. Other drugs besides azithromycin which may affect the heart rhythm (QTc prolongation in the EKG) include amiodarone, procainamide, quinidine, sotalol, dofetilide, pimozide, propafenone, and sparfloxacin, among others. QTc prolongation can infrequently result in serious, rarely fatal, irregular heartbeats.
