Lamisil is applied for treating certain types of fungal infections (e.g., fingernail or toenail). The principle of its work consists in stopping the growth of fungus. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as antifungals.

HOW TO USE LAMISIL:

It is an oral medication. It is necessary to take lamisil one time a day (with or without food) or as prescribed by your doctor. Dosage and duration of therapy depends on your medical condition and response to therapy. Several months may pass before you feel the full effect of the medication. It takes time for your new healthy nails to grow out and replace the infected nails. Continue to take lamisil until the full prescribed amount is finished. Stopping the medication too early may allow the fungus to continue to grow, which may result in a relapse of the infection. Inform your doctor if your condition persists or worsens.

You may experience stomach upset, temporary change or loss of taste, diarrhea, or tiredness. Inform your doctor in the case of worsening or persisting any of the lamisil side effects. If you experience such unusual but serious side effects as new signs of infection (e.g., fever, chills, persistent sore throat), easy bruising/bleeding, vision changes.
