Claritin is used for providing relief of seasonal and perennial allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose (rhinitis), itching eyes, and sneezing. The remedy is also applied for treating hives. CLARITIN SIDE EFFECTS:

You may experience headache, fatigue, dry mouth, thirst, dry nose or hoarseness may. These claritin side effects are usually interim and last as your body gets used to the remedy. Inform your doctor immediately in the case of worsening or persisting any of the side effects. Don't forget that your doctor has prescribed this medication because the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects. If you experience any of these unusual but serious claritin side effects as nervousness, constant urge to move around, rapid or pounding heartbeat, unusual weakness, stomach pain, dizziness, diarrhea, wheezing notify your doctor immediately. Claritin does not usually cause drowsiness when used at recommended doses and under normal circumstances. However, be sure of the drug's effects before engaging in activities that require alertness such as driving or using machinery. If you experience serious allergic reaction ask for medical help. Symptoms of a serious allergic reaction may include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, trouble breathing. If you experience claritin side effects not mentioned above notify your doctor immediately.

CLARITIN PRECAUTIONS:

Tell your doctor if you have any allergic reaction. This remedy is not recommended if you suffer from kidney disease, liver disease. Alcohol may increase risk of claritin side effects it is recommended to limit alcohol beverages. Elder people are more sensitive to the side effect of the drug. This medication is not advised during pregnancy and can be taken only if it's really necessary. Discuss all pro and contra with your doctor. This medication occurs into breast milk. If you take claritin consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

CLARITIN INTERACTIONS:

Your doctor or pharmacist may already be acquainted with any possible claritin interactions if you apply the medication on your doctor prescription. Your doctor should know what drugs you are taking. Look through the labels on all your medicines (e.g., cough-and-cold products) to find out if they contain additional antihistamines that could increase your risk for side effects. Consult your doctor about how to use the medication safely.
